2019 WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Well it's officially done! Into the next decade we go!! Looking back on my work from the year, every single wedding has been an amazing experience. So many creative gems and new friends from each! I know 2020 is going to be better than ever - bring on the next decade!!
LONDON WEDDINGS
This year I photographed three weddings at the Old Marylebone Town Hall and I have to say - that venue never gets old! The architecture is timelessly elegant and there are so many beautiful spaces both inside and out.
Dom and Vy's wedding was first and in the gorgeous Pimlico Room. Their ceremony was seamless and beautiful, with heartfelt vows that moved everyone in the room.
Nicola and Tom's wedding is close to my heart as they've both become great friends of mine in London. Nicola walked down the aisle to a kiwi classic - played on the ukulele of course! We celebrated at the ......location.... Afterwards and it was bundles if fun!
Maya and Adam brought their unique style to the Old Marylebone Town Hall. With skulls, black and velvet they really made it their own. This wedding had all the feels as they had a long friendship had turned into love, and it was monumental for their friends and family to see them declare their love to one another.
THE VATICAN WEDDING
Well this was absolutely the opportunity of a lifetime for me! Photographing a wedding at the Vatican had its challenges - particularly fighting the crowds! But it was absolutely epic to say the least! I'll let the photographs speak for themselves and just say the Rome and the Vatican are a BEAUTIFUL place to get married.
SOUTH OF ENGLAND WEDDINGS
Gemma and Mike tied the knot at the picturesque Sopley Mill in Dorset. They picked possibly the best day in the whole of winter to have their wedding as the sun shone bright all day! The venue was quaint and gorgeous and whole day was just magic.
Emilia and Chris had a fairytale wedding at Beaulieu in the New Forest. If you haven't been to the New Forest, definitely check it out! It's got to be one of my favourite places in England with pints and donkeys roaming free across the area. Their wedding was idyllic and really felt like a fairytale. From the bride's gorgeous princess dress to the beautiful scenery, it was a day to remember.
THE PEAK DISTRICT WEDDING
I had the privilege of visiting the Peak District this year and gosh it was beautiful!! Ben and Dorrie had a DIY festival wedding on Dorries family property and let me tell you - they sure know how to put on a party! With 200 people and doing it all themselves, this wedding was no mean feat. It was gorgeous, heartfelt and a crazy fun day to be a part of!
NEW ZEALAND WEDDINGS
Last but not least, I photographed a couple of gorgeous kiwi weddings in my annual trip home this year. New Zealand is one of the best places in the world to get married as not only are you surrounded by beautiful scenery - you can actually get married outside, wherever you want, and don't have to be under a permeant structure! I do love a good outdoor wedding!
Caitlin and James' Orewa Wedding has taken over my Instagram this year, and for good reason! Their wedding was so beautiful, visually and emotionally. These highschool sweethearts tied the knot at their family church and then proceeded to the beach and forest for photographs. These locations were amazing and great fun adventuring to!
Nicole and Jesse's quaint kiwi wedding was lovely and good fun too! They pledged their love in front of all their family and friends at a gorgeous venue in Taranaki. The gardens proved for great photo opportunities and the perfect place to say 'I do'.
2019 has been an epic year of weddings and I can't wait to see what 2020 has in store! For me this year is all about pushing the boundaries and getting epic creative work out if every shoot. I still have some spaces available for 2020 and so if you're getting hitched this year, I'd love to hear from you!
