ELEGANT AUCKLAND BEACH WEDDING
Caitlin and James chose the celebrate their love in their hometown of Orewa, New Zealand. They had a lovely ceremony at their family church before we headed to the beach across the road for a bit of nature and photographs. We then drove to James’ family home and the pine trees in their surrounding property - such a gorgeous spot and totally a photographers dream! They had their reception at the beautiful Bluestone Room with a sparkler sendoff - the perfect end to a perfect day.
Here are some notes from the lovely bride herself on her excellent vendors:
Photographer: Cushla Marie Photography
I actually found Cushla on this page and am so thankful i did! She gave us a complimentary engagement shoot. I hadn't planned on doing one, but it was a good way to meet Cushla before the wedding and practice how to take couple photos haha. The photos really speak for themselves, they are amazing and we both love them so much! Cushla was really fun to take photos with, she was easy to communicate with, professional, and she helps make it less awkward when you don't know what you're doing during photos.
Flowers: Cinderella Moments
Wendy is a family friend but i think her work shows for herself. I told her what i wanted and she came up with amazing work. So grateful for her help and making it so stress free!
Dress: White Lily Couture
Fanya dress by Nicole Spose.
Makeup: Ashley Collett Styling
Ashley is a very talented artist! She does incredible wedding makeup and she is such a fun person to talk to as well. My makeup stayed on the whole day and i loved the way it looked.
Ceremony: Orewa Baptist Church
This church has just been rebuilt. So is really modern, bright, and has a great entertaining area. We invited a lot more people to the wedding than the reception. So we had a sort of mini reception in the cafe area at the church. We had so many compliments from people about how it made them feel like they could still be a part of the celebrations even though they couldn't come to the reception.
Celebrant: Enroy Talamahina
Enroy is an amazing celebrant/friend. He made sure that the ceremony was tailored to how we wanted it run. He put in so much effort and was incredibly helpful and professional.
Venue: The BlueStone Room
The moment i saw this venue, I absolutely loved it! Because of the stone walls and antique chandeliers it has a very rustic/medieval vibe going on. The process was completely stress free and the food was super good!
Band: The Jacuzzi Casanovas
This band was awesome! They were so much fun and had so much energy. They got people dancing that i didn't even know had it in them. Someone even had to leave early due to a torn calf muscle! So be careful out there!
Videographer: The Wednesday Creatives
Laura actually got her sister and fiance to film this wedding cause she was my maid of honour! She did a few sneaky shots here and there, but she also did all the editing and made it into such a special memory that i get to re-live by simply pressing play. I may be biased but her videos speak for themselves and you should really check them out. It is also so nice to see the little details in a film that i completely forgot about.
