Elopements have become super popular especially over the past year or so, and we all know why… Yep, Covid happened! So many couples had to go over their original wedding plans and change it into something a little more intimate to follow Covid restrictions. Now, I’m sure that adjusting to this new reality has been a little weird and uncomfortable, and it can sometimes take a toll on us… so I’m here to inspire you with this casual elopement that I shot earlier this year!

I’ve seen a lot of couples elope during the pandemic, and there’s something about elopements that warms up my heart so much. Opting for a smaller celebration doesn’t mean your day should be any less special, and when I say that it has been really nice and refreshing to see a new way of celebrating one of the most special days in my couple’s lives, I truly mean it. With that being said, deciding what to wear on your elopement is a big decision.

So, what should you wear on your elopement?

You may have decided to go ahead with the wedding dress that you had originally planned to wear, or you may have changed the whole vibe and decided to go for a more casual elopement. If you’re the latter, and are needing some causal elopement outfit inspiration, I got you!

Sophie decided to wear a white blouse with a pair of white flowy pants, and Mark elevated his classic outfit with a navy blazer to add some colour - don’t they look gorgeous? This just goes to show that you can absolutely wear something more casual for your elopement.

For the girls, you can also wear a simple slip dress and incorporate a pop of colour that matches your elopement theme. Alternatively, playing around with some fun accessories is a great way to add a bit of personal touch to the look, whether that be a hat, leather jacket, blazer, or even sunglasses.
