First and foremost, congratulations to Tam and Mary for getting married the other day!! It’s always so nice to be able to capture my couples before their wedding… I feel so lucky to be photographing my couples at different stages of their lives because witnessing their love story overtime almost feels like I’m part of their journey. I had the honour to photograph their engagement shoot about a year ago, and they were such a lovely, fun couple to spend time with. They were up for anything, and we had the best time trying out new ideas while exploring London. So, if you’re looking for some fun engagement shoot ideas in London, you’re at the right place!

NOT YOUR TYPICAL ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHS

Tam is from East London, and Mary is from West London, so we decided to capture their photographs on both sides of the city. We started off at Liverpool Street, went all around Shoreditch, and then caught the tube to Notting Hill. While walking around Shoreditch, we found some really cool streets with graffiti all around. So, this isn’t a typical engagement that you see everywhere (even though I LOVE beautiful nature and captivating city backdrops)!

It was hilarious when Tam picked Mary up over his shoulder and carried her past the ‘Love’ graffiti! You’ll see this in the film that I did for them, which is linked at the beginning. This engagement shoot was also one of the first sessions where I explored with videography. I’m beyond excited to finally announce that films are now officially part of my service suite!

At the end of the session, we went to the restaurant where Tam and Mary had their first date. I know how much it means for my couples to re-visit memorable places to their relationship, so it made me so happy to be able to photograph them there.
